Reach Out & Read Illinois (ROR) works in our state’s lowest-income communities to help children and their families develop a love of reading! Pediatricians who partner with ROR put books in the hands of children from the earliest age. By modeling good reading habits, they promote early learning so that every child is read to every day.
Throughout the pandemic our clinics and caretakers have been working harder than ever to meet the needs of their patients and families, but for many clinics their resources have been depleted. Reach Out and Read Illinois’ partners with hundreds of clinics and hospital systems across the state and is championed by many prominent physicians, and healthcare providers. This year ROR’s network of clinics, patients, and caretakers need help to ensure the program is vibrant and engaging as many young children and families as possible.
To meet this demand, local leaders have been raising money for Reach Out & Read Illinois - competing with each other to win prizes for a ROR clinic. Who raised the most money? Who got the most donors? Who had the most fun?
We will announce the winners over our social media and through a video that we will send to all of our donors!
