Reach Out & Read in Illinois and YOU!

Reach Out & Read Illinois has 150+ clinics across the state employing the Reach Out & Read program - this meeting is for YOU - clinic coordinators, pediatricians, administrators and program liaisons that do Reach Out & Read day in and day out!

Participants that attend will receive discount codes for future book orders for their clinic, bags of books and ROR goodies to take home! Plus you are invited FREE OF CHARGE to attend our cocktail reception afterwards (5:30pm - 7:30pm.)

The event begins at 2pm with keynote address followed by a breakout session of your choosing. Everyone that attends will go back to their clinic with books and other resources. Below is a tentative schedule

• 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Optional Lunch and Networking!
• 2:00pm - 2:45pm: Welcome and Keynote Presentation by Dr. John S. Hutton, MD, MS, FAAP
• 2:45pm - 3:00pm: Break
• 3:00pm - 3:50pm: Breakout Sessions
  • Choose between an extended conversation with our guest Dr. Hutton or a workshop on creating a Literacy Rich Waiting Room in your clinic.
• 3:50pm - 4:00pm: Break
• 4:00pm - 4:30pm: Closing Session
• 4:30pm - 5:15pm: Join Chicago's Best Children's Librarians as they give a book talk presentation about their favorite and newest children's books in the Children's Library.
• 5:30pm - 7:30pm: Evening Reception in the Winter Garden (optional).
