Help TEAM PCC win!

You know my love of reading and my passion for Reach Out and Read!

Reach Out and Read provides books and training to doctors and clinics, especially in marginalized communities. Every time a child visits their doctor from 6 months to five years, they receive a brand new book. Our latest initiative is making sure that our books are diverse, so that children can see kids just like themselves in their favorite books.

I am asking you to join my team so that PCC Community Wellness Center can get an even bigger boost from Reach Out and Read. If our team raises the most money, PCC will win a $2,000 gift certificate from All About Books! If my team has the MOST DONORS, PCC will get a $1,000 gift card. (If we don't win, don't worry, this clinic will still receive books for their families, it will just be the normal amount they are allotted each year instead of the normal amount PLUS this fantastic BONUS)

Here is a little about PCC Community Wellness Center in their own words:

We are a family medicine practice at our core and serve families of all ages and stages, including young new moms, intergenerational households and we provide obstetrical and post-partum care. Discussion of reading and early literacy plays a part at most of our visits because of Reach Out and Read. We are located primarily on the west side of Chicago and into the western suburbs. We serve an urban population that is predominantly low income LatinX or African American patients. ROR brings joy and education to our patients and providers. It puts smiles on everyone's faces: babies, kids, parents, grandparents, providers. ROR helps give our patients a leg up in life by combating poverty in an evidence based way through early literacy. Reading is such a critical life skill and ROR helps develop that for our families. p.s. these lovely photos are from the PCC Community Wellness Center!

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Reach Out & Read Illinois and PCC.
